A More Natural Approach to Wedding Photography
Sant Ffraed House, previously known as Llansantffraed Court, sits on an estate that dates back to the 12th century. In 2021 the property was purchased by the Oldwalls Collection, which operates several wedding venues, namely Oldwalls and Fairyhill. A total refurbishment took place to re-open as an fabulous new and exclusive wedding venue. Nestled in a small parish of 290 acres, sitting in between the towns of Raglan and Abergavenny in the county of Monmouthshire, South Wales. The estate included farmland, a 14th century church of St Bride’s and the Grade II listed manor house. Sant Ffraed House was built in the style of William and Mary and stands within 20 acres of private park land, complete with ornamental lake and fountain. Its long sweeping driveway runs through glorious rural views before arriving at the elegant grandeur of the court. Designed in 1912 by Fairfax Blomfield WadePalmer, an English architect responsible for several historically listed buildings. The project was commissioned by the Herbert family, who were major landowners in the area. For much of its live, the house has been run as a hotel.
