On this page you will find blog posts, each featuring some of my favourite images from recent Caer Llan wedding photography assignments. Caer Llan is an exclusive use wedding and events venue. Situated on a secluded Welsh hillside, commanding an exquisite view of the Wye Valley in Monmouthshire, This family owned country house benefits some splendid terraced gardens, private woodland and an outdoor swimming pool. Originally built around 1800, past owners include a chairman of the Great Western Railway Company, a doctor who introduced anaesthetics to Wales, and a Royal Navy Captain. In the late sixties, it was purchased by the Peter Carpenter, who began converting it into a field studies centre, thanks to the small woodland hosting rare trees species it became a site of special scientific interests. Since then the property has been extended and renovated to provide an idyllic setting for private events and weddings. Able to provide overnight accommodation for up to fifty guests. These days the reputation for a warm Welsh welcome is maintained by Peter’s son Jake, and his wife Vicky. This family run business has a high standard of service centred around the ethos of providing a home away from home experience.
