One of the affects of a winter wedding is that the often inclement weather drives people to remain huddled together throughout the drinks reception. This quickly creates a friendly party atmosphere, and so it was at Hannah and James’ wedding at Caer Llan. They hosted there wedding here on the 10th December 2016, below is a collection of some of the photographers that I provided for the happy couple. Caer Llan is a quaint country house that hosts wedding and events in the heart of Monmouthshire and the Wye Valley. Secluded on a hillside surrounded by woodlands, the location normally provides stunning views over the rolling Welsh countryside, but today the view was somewhat disturbed by low lying mist that coated the sky. In the morning the girls were getting upstairs in the bedrooms as the chaps struggled with their bow ties in the bar area. The ushers then escorted arriving guests from the coaches ready for the ceremony. During the drinks reception the bride and groom did decided to the elements to get a couple of photographs outside in the natural light, but it was no long before we retreated to dry. One of my favourite times when photographing a wedding, is the after dinner speeches and today was no disappointment, with some great stories being told.
