This was my first wedding that I have photographed at Woodhouse Barn in Pembrokeshire. Abi and Ben had originally booked me for their wedding in August, but for the most joyous of reasons brought their wedding forward to the last day of May in 2017. So on this Wednesday morning I found myself heading west along the M4 to this glorious part of West Wales. The bridal preparations took place at Abi’s family home in Pembroke Dock. The marriage ceremony took place in the Hen House at Woodhouse Barn. This is a beautiful hand crafted wooden barn built with traditional methods, boasting black limestone floors and a fine banqueting hall with viewing gallery. The barn is set in a private meadow down a secluded country lane which is just outside the quaint village of Rosemarket in the heart of Pembrokeshire. With the kind permission of a local farmer, we where able to utilise a nearby wheat field (Theresa May would be so jealous). Making sure to stay within the tractor wheel lines, so to avoid damaging crops it made for a very on trend rural location for a few portraits of the bride and groom. This only took a few minutes, allowing the happy couple the rest of their drinks reception to rejoin their guests.
“Just wanted to say thank you very very much, we love the photos! You really captured everything!”
