It has not been an easy wedding season this year. The majority of my scheduled work has been postponed until next year. Though I did manage to photograph a handful of weddings, one of which was for Lauren and Scott, who got married at Upcote Barn. They were determined to tie the knot this year, and thanks to the flexibility and communication between wedding suppliers and the bride and groom, they did manage it. Though it did take a lot of organisation, thankfully Lauren is a highly skilled corporate events planner in her professional life. So despite multiple postponements due to government coronavirus restrictions, they did manage to get married and have a wonderful day.
I can only imagine the logistics involved in moving large events multiple times, so these couples really do have my admiration. As with all of my wedding clients I have tried to be as fair as possible, happily transferring booked wedding dates to fit in with client requests. So it was lovely to receive a little thank you note to acknowledge this effort has been appreciated.
“Dear Sacha,
Where do we start! Thank you so much for being part of our wedding day.
It was such a journey but you were always so brilliant through it all!
Even with everything as it was and how challenging it has been – we had the most incredible day – magical in fact and your images captured that.
We LOVE them.
Thank you again”
