Here is collection of photographs that I took at Hensol Castle for the wedding of Lauren and David on Saturday 8th October 2016. The bridal preparations took place at Lauren’s parents home in Cardiff before the marriage ceremony which was performed at St Isan’s Church. The drinks reception, wedding breakfast and evening celebrations were all hosted at the Hensol Castle. This 18th century castellated mansion is in the grounds of The Vale Resort situated in the Vale of Glamorgan of South Wales.
“So incredibly happy with your photos – thank you ever so much.”
As with all of my documentary wedding photography coverage I capture the day as it happens, with just a few bride and groom portraits and a handful of groups, but these are at the couples discretion. In this unobtrusive manner I theorise that the bride and grooms personalities are shown through the imagery, even during the group portrait session. So it was today, Lauren and David have a terrific sense of fun, shared with their close friends in the wedding party. This really came through as the groomsmen decided to hold the bride aloft and then they bridesmaids posed on the jetty before returning to the drinks reception. Later in the day guests were entertained with a photo booth inside a taxi cab and large piece Celidh band provided the music and dance instruction.
