Aimee and Matthew held their wedding in September 2021 at St Tewdrics House in Monmouthshire, South Wales. Unbeknown to Matthew I had photographed him a couple of weeks earlier when he was a guest at Amy and Rob’s wedding. Testament I think to my ability to blend in with guests and photograph weddings without intruding in the natural flow of the day. I started today’s coverage with the preparations with Aimee in the bridal suite where the hair and make up was attended to by Victoria Fox. Meanwhile the boys were getting dressed and perfecting with ties in one of the rooms downstairs. The ceremony took place indoors under the chandelier and skylight of ‘The Courtyard’, with the rain pouring the option for an outside ceremony under the venues pergola was not going to be possible. Luckily following the ceremony there was a brief pause in the precipitation to allowing the guests to throw confetti upon the happy couple as they exited the front door of this historic house. A few family and friend groups photographs were then taken as requested, making use of the dry weather. Though it was not long before shelter was sought in the wedding breakfast as the heavens once again poured. After the speeches the evening light brought with it a dry spell and a lull in proceeding. We took this opportunity to capture a couple of portraits of the bride and groom as they explored the grounds and the wild flower meadow. In time the evening celebrations began with the couple’s first dance as husband and wife.
“Thank you so much the photos are amazing ? We have been enjoying looking through them continuously!!”
