It has been a few years since I have photographed a wedding at Rosedew Farm. So it was a welcome return to this rural wedding venue near the coast of Llantwit Major in South Wales. I was here for the wedding of Natalie and Luke In May 2022. My day started with the bridal preparations, which was conveniently located in one of the on site cottages at Rosedew, namely the Cowshed. This particular barn conversion benefits from a floor to ceiling glass wall, perfect for bridal make up, which today was expertly performed by the highly acclaimed make up artist, Victoria Fox. The groom was also onsite in the morning, getting ready in a neighbour cottage with the best-man and ushers. It is then a short stroll across the courtyard to the main barn for the marriage ceremony. Natalie and Luke, like a lot of couples, were supposed to get married last year, but the threat of restrictions from the Welsh government during covid pandemic meant postponement. Their original venue, also too the decision to no longer accommodate weddings. So with a new date and a new venue, I was glad the whole day went as smoothly and as fun filled as it did. I was also joined for the day by the super talented wedding videographer, John Mark, whose low key approach is a pleasure to work alongside.
