On Saturday 30th April 2022 I photographed the South Wales marquee wedding of Sara and Ben. The day’s photography coverage started with the bride, where she was getting ready at her parents’ wonderful home in the Vale of Glamorgan. Later in the day this was also to play host for the wedding reception albeit, within a marquee pitched in a nearby field. The hair and make up was in the safe hands of a couple of familiar faces on the South Wales wedding circuit, namely Joanne Yates and Ann McCormack. In fact the whole wedding was a bit of a roll call for some of the most respected wedding suppliers in Wales. The catering was provided by the sumptuous Prickly Pear catering company and the marquee constructed by the good standing, County Marquees. The actual marriage ceremony took place in St Cadoc’s Church in the village of Llancarfan. A glorious ancient structure in the village green, with a perfect side chapel, that on occasion is bathed in glorious light that illuminates the signing of the register. After which the guests congratulated the newlyweds and showered them in confetti, before making their way to continue the celebrations in the marquee.
