In late October of 2022 I was commissioned to photograph the autumnal wedding of Katy and Matt. The morning saw me arrive at Mulberry House, a local holiday cottage that is frequently used for the preparations of a bride and her maids, as it was today. As pleasant time was had by all where here, with the champagne flowing nicely, though only adding bubbles to the excitement. The marriage ceremony took place at Oldwalls, a specialist wedding venue on the Gower peninsular in South Wales. After the unifying was made official, the wedding guest were ushered out on the front lawn, where they could line the path to shower the newlyweds in confetti. After a few hugs and congratulations were delivered, drinks were served back in the warmth of the building. Though this October day was particularly sunny, recent rain meant it was best avoid the rugged grounds, but the landscaped formal gardens made for the perfect location for a few group photographs. The day progressed into the wedding breakfast and the formality of the after dinner speeches gave way to cake cutting and dancing into the night.
“Thank you so much – we love the photos! You have done such an amazing job.”
