In June of 2024, Menna and Josh held their wedding day at the family farm in Monmouthshire, South Wales. The bride and her party prepared for the day in the farmhouse, the hair and make up artist, Evie Smith assisted in the beauty department. The bride’s dress was supplied by the designer Sassi Holford, and the flowers by Farhill. A marquee had been pitched in a nearby field to host the wedding breakfast. Though firstly the marriage ceremony had to take place at St Dingat’s Church in the Monmouthshire village of Dingestow. Following the exchange of nuptials and the throwing of confetti, the bride and groom were driven back to the farm in a classic Landrover Defender. The caters, Parsnip Mash, provided drinks on the farmhouse lawn. As the guests made their way from the church, a little time was taken out for the bride and groom to stroll the garden, allowing the opportunity to photograph some natural portraits. As ever a few family groups were requested, but the majority of the reception everyone was free to mingle and enjoy each other’s company. I have been photographing weddings for many years and I have always had the ethos that the method of capture is as important as the actual images. There is a often overlooked skill of being unobtrusive whilst being able to capture emotive imagery. So I am pleased when my clients mentions their appreciation of this approach in their comments, as per below;

“Everyone has absolutely LOVED the gallery of Menna and Josh’s wedding. You captured the essence of the day and evening so beautifully. We keep looking at them! Sacha we found you a pleasure to have with us on the day…..you were so unobtrusive you were practically invisible!!!”
