At the time of photographing this wedding at Fairyhill in Gower, South Wales, the Covid-19 restrictions allowed thirty guests and extended household bubbles. Though Mike and Harriet, still had to cut their guest list in half in order to go ahead this year in early September 2020. Quite a few couples have decided to do this rather than postpone to next year. Though this was my first full day coverage since March, so it was nice to be back in the saddle, photographically speaking. In the morning Harriet with her sister and mother used one of the bedrooms at Fairyhill to get ready for the day. The marriage ceremony and wedding breakfast took place the ‘K room’. The modern and purpose built function room at this Grade II listed Georgian mansion. Fortunately the weather played its part, as the morning rain had given way to more clement weather. This allowed guests to enjoy the garden and for the bride and groom to utilise the beautiful scenery for their portraits. There is still no dancing in the evening, so the night time celebrations are rather subdued, though the couple are allowed to perform an ‘understated’ first dance outside.
“Thank you so much for covering our big day! The photo’s look wonderful :-)”
