I photographed the Rosedew Farm wedding of Amy and Alex on Saturday 18th October 2014. The morning started with the bridal preparations in the one of the converted farmer barns that partly makes up this charming wedding venue, situated in a secluded valley near the historic town of Lantwit Major, South Wales. The marriage ceremony took place a short drive away in the cosy church of Llanmaes village.
After the ceremony the bride and groom asked if we could brave the Atlantic winds for a few photographs on the Vale of Glamorgan coast, the beach is only a stones throw distance away from the farm. Then it was back to join their guests at the wedding reception taking place back at Rosedew’s great barn which has been wonderfully reconverted into a comfortable function hall.
This was my first time wokring at Rosedew and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, on arrival you soon realise that you are on a working farm but this all adds to the rustic charm of this location. Great care has been taken in using complimentary and beautiful materials during the renovations and more importantly and something which is often overlooked by larger venues, the owners have created a friendly and warm atmosphere.
