Here are a selection of photographs I created for the wedding of Sian and Elliott at Miskin Manor in South Wales on Friday 24th October 2014. The couple, along with many family and friends travelled from New Zealand to attend the wedding in Sian’s home country of Wales. The wedding party all got dressed in the hotel so I was able to capture both the bridal and groom preparations before the marriage ceremony in the hotel’s Minstrel Hall.
Miskin Manor is a Grade II listed, country hotel set in 25 acres of award winning gardens and grounds, the building as seen today was originally constructed in 1864 and during its history has been a private home, war time hospital and survived two major fires. The present owners purchased the building in 1996 and have continued restoring the building into the fine country hotel that it is today.
The ‘Cwtch’ written in illuminated lights on the dance floor were provided by Written in Lights, a company started by the father of the bride, whose wedding I photographed earlier this year, following their extensive search for light letters in Wales.
Additional photographs from other weddings I have photographed at Miskin Manor can be seen here, Miskin Manor weddings.
