The first wedding of 2017 took me to Brecon in South Wales for the wedding of Jessica and Michael. The bride and her family had one of the converted barns to get ready in, where they were busy doing make up, icing cakes, pet their dachshunds and watch horse racing. The groom was meanwhile finishing off you speeches in another building before getting dressed to greet his guests as they arrived for the ceremony. The barn at Brynich, is pretty much one large space, so it was all dressed for the marriage. Once the bride and groom had exchanged nuptials and walked down the aisle, their guests joined them outside for refreshments. The February sun had made a rare appearance in Wales and basked the courtyard in a warm glow as the barn was prepared for the wedding breakfast. At the bride and groom’s discretion they opted for a couple of family group shots and just a couple of them together in the grounds. Leaving them free to enjoy the majority of the drinks reception with their friends and family. As the sun disappeared behind the Brecon Beacons, the guests formed a line to light their way into the wedding breakfast with some sparklers.
