On the 24th March I photographed Chetna and Ryan’s Clearwell Castle wedding in the Forest of Dean.They were a familiar pair of faces, as they had been guests at several of my previous weddings. Clearwell Castle was built in the Gothic style in 1727, an architectural feature that was to prove attractive when it was used in the 19780’s at a recording studio to several rock bands including Black Sabbath, Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin. These days it is a full time wedding venue in the county of Gloucestershire. The photographic coverage commence the bridal preparations in the lavish bridal suite. There was to be two marriage ceremonies, one traditional in the magnificent ballroom, the other an Hindu ceremony. This was performed in the band stand that overlooks the manicured gardens of the castle. We were extremely fortunate with the weather, the winter sun making a much appreciated appearance during the day. Following the wedding breakfast and speeches, the first dance was enjoyed by the attending guests in the entrance hall. The party was continued in the castle cellars where a Bollywood band was setting the pace.
