I always find it a bit difficult finding the words to describe my rather unique approach to wedding photography. Many other photographers or videographers will throw in the word ‘documentary’ or ‘natural’ to describe their style, but very few will actually perceive with this ethos. It is much easier to step in and arrange the shot you want, a bit like painting by numbers. It takes much more patience and acceptance of reality to let the day flow naturally and you capture what actually occurs rather than any preconceived vision. The bonus of an unobtrusive photographer is of course that the bride and groom have a much more relaxed experience and this comes through the review Rebecca and Ben kindly provided;

“We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding photographer than Sacha! From the moment we met, it was clear that he understood our vision for a relaxed and joyful celebration. On the day itself, he blended seamlessly and captured every precious moment without ever feeling intrusive.

The photographs are absolutely stunning, perfectly reflecting the love and laughter of the day. Each image tells a story, and we’re so grateful for how he captured the essence of our celebration. We highly recommend Sacha to anyone looking for a true professional who can beautifully document their special day while making the experience effortless and enjoyable!”

The Tythe Barn Wedding Photography

I had the pleasure of photographing Rebecca and Ben’s wedding in September 2024 at The Tythe Barn in Oxfordshire. As the day unfolded, I had an unexpected moment of realisation: I had worked at this venue twelve years prior, when I photographed Hannah and Paul’s wedding at Christ Church, Oxford. The venue had changed over the years, with the gardens now more mature and some structural upgrades, including the addition of on-site accommodation.

Rebecca’s stunning dress was provided by Pronovias, while her makeup was expertly done by Phoebe Hayter, and her hair styled by Rachael Capocci. The breathtaking floral arrangements were designed and provided by Tom Goffe, and the wedding film was beautifully captured by Adam Pitts.
