The Haybarn Wedding Photographer, Herefordshire

I have been photographing weddings for over twenty years, and in that time I have seen the industry evolve in the most exciting ways. Each year seems to bring something fresh and inspiring, but one of the most significant changes has been the incredible rise of unique and characterful wedding venues. Gone are the days when traditional, old-fashioned hotels held a near monopoly on wedding celebrations. Couples today are looking for something far more personal, atmospheric, and memorable.

Across the United Kingdom, many farms have diversified over the years, branching into ventures such as bed and breakfasts, farm shops, and holiday accommodation. More recently, beautifully restored agricultural buildings have become some of the most sought-after wedding venues. Brides and grooms are now spoiled for choice, with an abundance of converted barns and rustic spaces that combine charm, authenticity, and flexibility. These venues offer a wonderful blend of countryside tranquillity and understated elegance, the perfect backdrop for meaningful celebrations.

Few, however, are as picturesque as The Haybarn in Herefordshire. This stunning converted Victorian red-brick barn sits within the grounds of Home Farm, in the parish of Dulas, nestled in the idyllic rural landscape of the Golden Valley. Surrounded by rolling hills and unspoilt countryside, it provides a breathtaking setting in every season, from golden summer evenings to crisp autumn afternoons.

The Haybarn is run by the family who own and work the farm, and its story makes it all the more special. After hosting their own wedding there, they realised the experience was simply too wonderful not to share with others. That sense of warmth, authenticity, and genuine care still runs through everything they do. It is not just a venue; it is a place created with love, designed to give other couples the opportunity to celebrate in a setting that feels both personal and unforgettable.

Below are a few photographs I captured for Isobel and William when their hosted their wedding at The Haybarn in June 2025, a day that included a marriage ceremony on site in the charmingly rustic open sided, tin roofed barn. This was followed by drinks and games on the lawn, as guests were allowed to roam and explore this glorious corner of Herefordshire.
