A few days after Christmas on the 28th December 2019 I had travelled down to Camber Sands in Sussex for the wedding of Helena and Dominic. Below you can find some samples of The Gallivant wedding photography I provided for the happy couple. The Gallivant is somewhat of a surprising find, I imagine windswept foodies stumbling across this coastal jewel with great relief. A former roadside motel, now refurbished into a trendy and cosy restaurant with rooms, perfectly located across the road from the glorious dunes of Camber Sands. Situated near the town of Rye in Sussex, about a hours travel from London.
The whole wedding day took lace on site, the numerous rooms capable of hosting both the bridal and groom preparations. I split my time in between the two parties, before all meeting up in the ceremony room in the restaurant. Congratulatory drinks were then served around the bar, picturesque with its twinkling lights bouncy off the numerous glass ware. I had meet Helena and Dominic a few months before at their friends, Isabelle and Kenneth wedding at St Audries, Somerset. In fact one my favourite images from that day was of Helena, carefully wielding an iron to a bridesmaids dress during the preparations.
The vast majority of the Gallivant wedding photography I took on the day was of the happy couple mingling with their guests, sharing jokes, dancing in the evening and generally enjoying the day in its natural flow. As requested their was a handful of group shots of family and friends. Also being this close to the coast it would of been a real shame not to utilise the seascape in some way. So Helena change her shoes and donning a wedding suitable coat we braved the winter air for a quick jaunt across the road to the dunes of Camber Sands.
“Oh amazing! Thank you so much”
