Hannah and Andy travelled from their home in London to be married at Pencoed House in South Wales on 16th July 2021. This was about the third time in trying to tie the knot for this bride and groom. And boy was the day chosen well for its weather, a scorchingly hot day. I met up with Hannah at one of the outbuildings provided by the venue for the bridal party to get ready. The groom arrived in good time and tried to stay cool in the sanctuary of the marriage ceremony room within the cold stone walls of this converted barn. The drinks reception was spent sheltering in the shade afforded by the many trees at this rural wedding venue. Thankfully the recent regulations meant the team at Pencoed had invested in a marquee cover allowing for courtyard dining, this addition to roll up the walls allowing free air moment was more than beneficial. The speeches took place after the wedding breakfast was served, and this marked the end of my photographic coverage for this particular couple, as Welsh restrictions at this time were still a bit stricter than in England in terms of evening celebrations.
“Thank you so much for these! They’re absolutely perfect and we’ve had such a great week looking through them. We really appreciate all the work you have put into them!”
