On the 7th of March 2020 I photographed the wedding of Sarah and Nick at Fairyhill in South Wales. Quite a few years ago I had photographed Sarah’s brother wedding, so it was nice to catch up with the family again, which had grown with the additional of some charming children. Fairyhill is situated on the Gower peninsular near the city of Swansea. The couples photographic requirements, was well within my remit. That being the desire for natural, unposed images to record their day. So apart from a handful of family groups and literally a couple of minutes of the newlyweds walking the grounds, the rest of the day was captured in a documentary fashion. Nothing posed or prompted, just pure reportage, allowing everyone to relax and enjoy the day. To accommodate the children present, a playroom was set up within the venue. This involved a computer games console, play tents, lego, an inflatable rugby ball and an abundance of sweets. With the younger guests occupied the adult guests was left to enjoy the drinks reception, chatting and laughing with new and old friends. My photographic coverage ended with the serving of the wedding breakfast. This half day level of photography covers from the bridal preparations to the formal seating and is available for most dates throughout the year.
