Here is some photographs from the first wedding I photographed in the year 2018. Hannah and Ian were married at Oldwalls in Gower, South Wales on February 17th. The bride and her party had stayed the night before in the Mulberry House, a cottage owned by the venue a short distance away. So I arrived here in the morning to take a few photographs during the bridal preparations.Meanwhile the groom and their guests were arriving at Oldwalls for the ceremony. The weather was quite kind to us today, even got a glimpse of the winter sun a few times. So we were able to go outside for the traditional confetti shot and a few portraits of the bride and groom in the grounds.
During the wedding breakfast, a wedding painter, painted a scene of the guests saturday at their tables, even allowed a few of the younger guests to have a go. I have not seen this before whilst photographing a wedding, but such a nice idea and I daresay it might be a growing trend. The day continued with some entertaining speeches, especially as the two best-men and the groom were all brothers. Siblings are rarely the most forgiving kind, so some great stories were shared. Later in the evening the fun was continued accompanied by some great music by the band iRock.
