South Wales Engagement Photography
Pre-wedding and engagement photographer in South Wales
As a South Wales wedding photographer I offer my clients the opportunity to have a pre wedding or engagement photography session. This can be arranged anytime before your actual wedding, allowing you the ability to use the images in your wedding stationary and decorations. Also it can give couples welcome experience of what it is like in front of the camera. Many of my bride and grooms do not necessary enjoy having their picture taken. Though with these sessions and the non obtrusive way in which I work can help to aleve such fears. The location is at your discretion, many people choose a favourite beach or country park in South Wales, though I am happy to travel further afield if required. Each post below represents a few favourite of my images from each engagement shoot that I have photographed recently. Please do not hesitate to contact me if your are interested in arranging a similar session.
Postponed Wedding Shoot
Here are some samples of a postponed wedding shoot I undertook for some wedding photography clients. Like thousands of other couples in the United Kingdom and across the globe, Lauren and Scott have had to postpone their wedding this year thanks to the coronavirus pandemic and the following...
Engagement Shoot For A Cotswold Wedding At Soho Farmhouse
A few weeks before their Cotswold wedding at the Soho Farmhouse, Iona and Matt decided they would like to have a pre wedding or engagement shoot. They decided to use their wedding venue as the backdrop, which also allowed us to have an on location consultation about their photography requirements...
Pre Wedding Shoot – Emily & Nicholas
A couple of weeks ago I met up with Emily and Nicholas for a pre wedding shoot in the Botanical Gardens of Bath. As a documentary wedding photographer I do a limited amount of portrait work during a wedding, at the bride and groom's discretion they normally request just a few minutes so that can...
Pre Wedding Shoot in South Wales – Rebecca & Nick
A couple of weeks before I shot Rebecca and Nick's wedding they requested a pre wedding shoot. So in late October 2015 we decided to meet on the beach at Dunraven Bay near the village of Southerndown, which is part of the Heritage Coastline in South Wales. I am reliably informed that the cliffs...
Anastasia & Lawrence – Engagement shoot at St. Donat’s Castle, Wales
This post represents something of a temporary departure from my mainstay of documentary wedding photography. The trend for a pre-wedding or engagement photography session has slowly made its way across the pond from our American cousins into the UK market. I do not advertise such a service and and...
South Wales Engagement Photographer
So why book me for your South Wales engagement photography? My documentary approach during a wedding day ensures the photography does not turn it into a photoshoot. However a lot of couples would like a some photographs with just the two of them, sometimes to utilise the surroundings or even just a chance for a little quiet time during a busy wedding day schedule. Some couples literally want just a few minutes and some a bit longer. Whatever the case, I do offering engagement photography sessions. These can used to create some natural portraits of the two of you before the big day. Also to allay some fears of posing for a professional photographer. I try to incorporate the documentary photography ethos into these session, I promise no awkward poses, no cheesy grins, just honest, emotive, story telling imagery. If this sounds like it might suit you and you would like to discuss your South Wales engagement photography requirements any further, or just wish to check on my availability and fee, then please do contact me.
