Here are some examples of my outdoor family portraits that I have recently created. The result of weddings and large events being restricted, some of my clients have postponed to next year. The result of which I now have some weekends available for outdoor family portraits. The session fee is £125, then prints or digital images files, from £5 and £50 respectively. The whole set of the digital image files (circa 80-120 ) are normally £250, though for the next few months this will be reduced by £100. You can see more examples via my portraits page.

Is outdoor family photography permitted?
Currently (9th October 2020) parts of South Wales are in local lockdown, this will limit the location of the shoot to one of your local favourite spots. As per the Welsh government regulations, the photographer is allowed to travel for work and as long as a safe distance is maintained during the shoot, which is totally feasible being outside, the session will be well within the guidelines. The rest of the experience can be done remotely, one the images are processed they will be displayed online, via password protected gallery, where you can order prints and download the digital files from your own computer.
What happens if it rains?
All portrait sessions come with a no quibble transferrable guarantee. So in the case of inclement weather, we can just re-schedule for a more suitable time.
This session is of the Edward family, whose mum and dad I met ten years ago when I was their South Wales wedding photographer. A decade of marriage has seen them nurture a wonderful little family, three gorgeous children each with their own individual character. The trick, I think, to a good portrait is try to allow the personality to show through the photography, for each session experience and results to be unique to the sitter. So for that reason I try not to pose too much. As with most of my photography, I prefer to capture natural moments. Though with young children this can be a bit of a gamble, so during the shoot I will make sure I have a couple of safety shots in the can. Then the remainder of the time I allow free will to reign, be it climbing trees, searching for bugs or just running around. The beauty of this is you never know what you going to get, but whatever it is it will be a natural and emotive record of a transitory childhood.
“Sacha they are beyond amazing. Thank you so much-we are so grateful.”
