I recently joined a little family outing to a local park to provide some outdoor family photography in South Wales. It is lovely catching up with former wedding photography clients, I photographed Caroline and Adam’s special day nearly exactly three years ago in Monmouthshire. Today I was here to provide some natural children portraits. I work in a documentary manner, allowing the family to interact naturally with the children free to play without being hindered by the constraints of a photographic studio. Choosing a favourite location such as a wood, beach or park allows for young children to explore without being conscious of the camera. I feel this approach lets the images capture their true character. These lovely little babies are twins just under a year old, they were excellent subjects to capture. Mum and dad had some concerns of their reaction to a stranger, though the distraction of an outside setting and toys to play with, they quickly accepted the camera’s presence.
These portrait sessions normally last about an hour or so and can be scheduled to fit between the all important nap schedule. Travel is included within South Wales and the session fee is £125, with prints and digital image files purchasable from £5 and £50 respectively. More information can be found at South Wales children photography.
“Thank you so much. We are thrilled with them. You’ve captured their personalities beautifully. “
