On Saturday 13th June 2019 I photographed the Llangoed Hall Wedding of Ann and David. Llangoed Hall is a wonderfully elegant and historic Edwardian country house hotel situated in the beautiful Wye Valley near the Brecon Beacons in the heart of Mid Wales. Ann and David had travelled here from their home in London. They were both on location for the morning preparations so I was able to split my time between the two parties. It was a busy start to the day as they have two lovely little boys who also needed looking after dressing, never easy with toddlers. In due the course the groom and his ushers made their way to the marriage ceremony, which was held in the nearby town of Crickhowell at St Edmund’s Church. Once the bridal preparations had been completed the parties united for the marriage ceremony at the church. Following the ceremony, congratulations were received in the churchyard before guests were transported back to Llangoed Hall for the reception. Here amongst the rolling scenery of Wales, there was time for everyone to catch up on the day’ events. A few drinks and some family photographs on the lawn later gave way to giant jenga and croquet. Though in time the wedding breakfast was served in the hotel’s orangery and garden room. Later some marvellous and surprising speeches were delivered with great aplomb, before the day turned into evening and the dancing began. As a Wales Wedding photographer we are blessed with some remarkable venues, Llangoed Hall being one of them, so picturesque it makes the day a blessing to attend.
“Just wanted to say a big thank you for making our very special day so painless while being photographed and the fact that you were so unobtrusive is amazing.”
