Cara and Luke held their wedding in June 2021 at Cardiff City Hall. I was particularly thrilled to be chosen to be their wedding photographer, as Cara is an incredibly talented fashion and product photographer. It always adds a little extra pressure when providing images for a professional photographer, but I Cara and Luke are so a lovely easy going couple, I was soon in my stride. I met up with the betrothed and their guests in the morning outside the city hall. There was only an handful of guests allowed for the marriage ceremony, so it was just family and a handful of close friends in attendance. Though even a few of these had to wait outside as the numbers are very restricted within the Cardiff registry room. Nevertheless everyone offered their congratulations and threw confetti once the ceremony was completed. The bride and groom then led their guests through the capital’s civic centre to the well tended Alexandra Gardens for a few photographs. The government guidelines allow for some extended household group shots. Also the newlyweds had a little stroll through the park as I captured some natural portraits. The celebrations then continued with the modest numbers allowed in the sun baked back garden of a family home in Cowbridge, South Wales. Whilst weddings are rather truncated in their nature these day, they are no less heart warming to photograph.
“Oh my goodness they are stunning!! Thank you so much!”
“You’re a genius! Thank you!”
