Abby and David, held their wedding at Foxhill Manor in November 2025, with the autumnal colours in full bloom. I started my photography coverage with the bride as she was getting ready in one of the luxurious bedrooms with the brides maids in attendance. As Ellen, the hair and make up artist, helped in the preparations, soon the bride was dressed in her elegant gown from Wedding Belles and ready to meet her groom. David was downstairs in the hotel’s lounge greeting the guests before heading to the ceremony room, which had been beautifully decorated by the florist Stephani Saunders.
Despite the time of year the weather was pleasant, so we managed to go outside and utilise the gravel driveway and elegant frontage of the hotel for the confetti run and a few family group photographs as requested by the bride and groom. The surrounding foliage, with its seasonal yellow tones provided a warm glow for the photographs of the happy couple, as they had a quick stroll around the gardens to enable the opportunity for some natural, editorial style portraits.
It was then back inside to enjoy the change to mingle with their guest and be entertained by the magician, Oliver Couchman and illustrator, Woo. On the day I was also accompanied by the wedding videographers, Tom and Sarah from Mills Films, who knew the bride and groom as their children attend the same school.
The wedding speeches took place either side of the food service, once this was completed the dancing began with a brief interlude, to allow the guests to enjoy some sparklers in the night time Cotswold air.
The History of Foxhill Manor
Nestled in the heart of the Cotswolds in Broadway, Worcestershire, the award-winning Foxhill Manor is a Grade II listed Arts and Crafts country home that has been transformed into a contemporary private house hotel. Built in 1909 by the esteemed Yorkshire architect Joseph Lancaster Ball, it originally served as a private residence for Samuel Joshua Cooper, a Sheffield steel entrepreneur, and his family, surrounded by 400 acres of beautifully maintained grounds.
In the 1920s, the manor transitioned into a prestigious boarding school, serving that purpose for several decades until it was revitalized as a luxurious wedding venue. In 2013, the Farncombe Estate, led by the Davies family, undertook a transformation of this grand estate, enhancing its boutique luxury while preserving its period character. The manor now features ten elegantly appointed bedrooms and plush drawing rooms, all set against the stunning backdrop of the Vale of Evesham and expansive Cotswold lawns.
Today, Foxhill Manor is a sought-after destination for intimate weddings, combining classic elegance with modern comfort. Over the years, it has established itself as an exclusive-use venue that beautifully blends Edwardian grandeur with contemporary design and hospitality.
