I have been looking forward to this wedding ever since the day Lara and Mark booked me as their South Wales wedding photographer. I met them at the dentist practise where they both work, along with Lara’s parents and immediately upon introduction I knew it was going to be a warm and fun wedding. The photographic coverage began in the morning of the 6th May 2017 during the bridal preparations before making our way to St Martin’s Church in Caerphilly, South Wales. Where the marriage ceremony was to be held, the same church as Lara’s parents were married. Today the groom was Mark and he was greeting guests as he patiently waited for his bride’s arrival. Following the nuptials the newly married couple happily skipped down the aisle and were warmly congratulated by their guests as exited the church. The wedding reception took place at Hensol Castle in the Vale of Glamorgan. Drinks where served upon arrival as family photographs were organised in the generous grounds. After a bit of mingling in the ornate rooms, everyone was called into the dining hall for the wedding breakfast. The celebrations got off to a early start thanks to a group of ‘singing waiters’ getting the gathered friends and family out of their seats and dancing. This celebratory mood continued into the evening as the party got underway with the wedding band, The Veleteens.
