I must admit I did raise my eyebrows when I was informed Mary and Leif’s wedding reception would be held in a marquee. Nothing unusual there you might say, but then it was scheduled for 2nd December 2017. A winter wedding in a marquee is quite a rarity but thanks to industrial heaters it was quite cosy for everyone. Located in rural Devon in the town of South Zeal, there is sparse venues that could of coped with the 100 plus guests, so this solution was perfect. The bride’s family had rented a large country house for the week and this was where the morning preparations took place. The marriage ceremony was held at St Andrew’s Church in the picturesque village of South Tawton on the northern edge of Dartmoor, Devon. The wedding marquee had been pitched in the recreation ground of South Zeal a few miles away. Where thanks to hay bales and trestle tables, a very warm and relaxed rural atmosphere was prominent, perfect for this fun loving couple.
