Here are a few of my favourite photographs that I created for Alice and Declan’s Herefordshire wedding at the Flanesford Priory. A short distance from the market town of Hay on Wye, nestled between Goodrich Caste and the River Wye. This converted 14th century monastery sits in the Wye Valley area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It benefits from heart warming unspoilt views of the Great British countryside. I arrived on site the day of the wedding, 25th August 2018. The bride and her mum and maids were getting ready here in the Cider Mill Cottage, one of the several self catering accommodation options available at Flanesford. The groom arrived a little later, all in good time for their outdoor marriage ceremony in the Priory gardens. The main wedding reception took lace in the purpose built marquee. After the wedding breakfast, guests were entertained by a close up magician and bouncy castle. The bride and groom took this opportunity to take a few minutes for themselves to wander down to the banks of the River Wye, where I and the videographer took the chance to record a few visual mementoes of the day and the warm glow of the evening sun. Later it was back to the marquee for the first dance of the newly married couple and further evening celebrations.
