On Saturday 25th June 2016 I travelled to the Glanusk Estate in Powys, Wales to photograph the wedding of Charlotte and Rhodri. I began the day with photographing the bridal preparations at the recently refurbished Lodge before taking the short stroll through the orchard to the Garden Cottage where the groom and his ushers were getting ready.
The marriage ceremony took place at the Our Lady and St Michael’s Church in the nearby market town of Abergavenny. After which the guests were led to the marquee situated in the parklands of the estate, providing majestic views of the South Wales hills. Whilst enjoying the rather pleasing location, the gathered friends and family were further treated with cocktails, an outdoor pianist, male voice choir and of course, table tennis.
“They are beautiful.”
Glanusk Estate is privately owned by the Legge-Bourke family and is situated in the Usk Valley part of the Brecon Beacons National Park.
