Belvoir Castle Wedding Photography
A More Natural Approach to Wedding Photography
Here are some examples of my Belvoir Castle wedding photography. Belvoir Castle, is a Grade I listed stately home in the English county of Leicestershire. Still used as a family home and remains the seat for the Dukes of Rutland. Though the castle and its grounds are open to visitors, offering afternoon tea and country pursuits. A Norman Castle originally stood on the site, though having been left to ruin, a new castle was constructed in 1555. Though this was destroyed by Parliamentarions nearly 100 years later. A third castle was designed by architect John Webb as a large family home, completed 1668. However in 1799 it was rebuilt once again, but in the style of romantic Gothic Revival. The tradition of afternoon tea, is said to originate at Belvoir Castle, thanks to its late dinner time and a hungry visiting Duchess of Bedford in 1840’s began the practice. Below is some examples of wedding photography that I have produced at Belvoir Castle.
