Green Grove Barns Wedding Photography – Katherine & Jonathan

Here are a selection of photographs I captured at the Green Grove Barns wedding of Katherine and Jonathan, As I arrived in the morning they were great discussions in place concerning the likelihood of the outdoor ceremony being a slight damp affair. There was light in the rain and despite the owner’s farming knowledge on hand there was no certainty of a dry day. The lure of the outdoor ceremony at this Carmarthenshire wedding venue is that from the front lawn under a shade of a large oak tree you can exchange nuptials whilst enjoying views that stretch out to the Brecon Beacons. In the end the pragmatic decision to move the ceremony into the barn was taken. Luckily the option of a light filled rustic barn has its own photogenic and atmospheric charms.

Katherine and Jonathan were adamant that their wedding day was to be as casual and fun filled as possible. To this end they wanted to enjoy the day in its natural flow and allow themselves as much time as possible to enjoy the company of their guests. One way to ensure this is to have a wedding photographer with a observational and relaxed approach, capturing the moments as they happen without given instruction or being obtrusive.

On the day the ceremony was beautifully delivered by celebrant Margaret Murray, the wedding breakfast was supplied by the talented bunch at Strawberry Shortcake, and the flowers artistically arranged by the Wendy from Blodwen.

“They are incredible! Looking at these photos just underlined why we chose you… you captured so much of the atmosphere of the day! Which is everything we wanted. They are incredible. Thank you, so so much.”

“Truly, thank you. You have captured so many amazing memories of what was honestly one of the best days of our lives.”
