Here are a few of my favourite images from the last wedding I photographed in 2015. The day, namely the 30th December, belonged to Kathryn and Nicholas whose marriage ceremony took place at Hensol castle in South Wales. Hensol Castle is, a Grade I listed building in the form of a castellated mansion in the gothic architecture style dating from the late 17th century. However my day started at the Vale Hotel where the bride and her maids were getting ready, I also managed to catch up with the groom and his ushers after they arrived at Hensol Castle where they were concentrating on perfecting the bow ties to their tuxedos.
Needless to say the wettest December ever recorded in the UK saw to us making little use of the grounds at Hensol, though the building offers multiple opportunities for interior portraits. As I always say to clients planning their wedding, regardless of weather conditions or luxurious venues, the best wedding experience comes from everyone enjoying themselves and Kathryn and Nicholas’ big day was certainly an example of that.
“We are over the moon with how they turned out. We just wanted to say thank you so much… You captured our day perfectly!! We really can’t thank you enough.”
