New Quay in Ceredigion in West Wales is one of my favourite places in Wales, so I was pleased when Sarah and Michael asked me to photograph their wedding in this popular seaside and traditional fishing town. In the morning the bridal preparations took place in the family’s cottage overlooking Cardigan Bay whilst the groom and his ushers enjoyed the sunshine in the beer garden of the Black Lion pub. The marriage ceremony was performed at the Church of Llanllwchaearn Church before the wedding party and guests travelled round the bay to a marquee pitched in Charlie’s Field, so called because Prince Charles once landed his helicopter there on a visit to the area.
As you can see from the photographs, this was not a usual marquee, with a center bar and two floor levels, also the table decorations were really something special, and the couple also provided the The Diamond Boys, a group of acoustic musicians that entertained the guests throughout the reception. All of this attention to detail is not surprising when you know that Sarah and Michael are both planners at Luminate Events.
“Sacha..they are stunning, they look amazing! Thank you so much.”
