The 175 year old lighthouse at Nash Point in the Vale of Glamorgan was the last manned lighthouse in Wales, the keepers finally left in 1998, it is now open to the public and can be used for wedding ceremonies, as it was for the marriage of Laura and Jon on Saturday 25th September 2010. The couple also utilised the cottages on the site which use to house the lighthouse keepers’ and their families.

Laura and Jon had asked for some photographs on the beach at Nash Point, I was a bit worried about the distance form the car park to the coast line, but there was no need to worry as the week earlier they had both completed the Great North Run. The wedding breakfast was served in the garden of the cottages, shaded by the shadow of the lighthouse, immediate family and close friends that made up their wedding guests.
