I am delighted to announce that I have won the UK Wedding Photographer of the Year competition. I travelled down to London to the Hasselblad Studios in Hoxton. Which played host to the presentation ceremony for the UK Professional Photographer of the Year Awards for 2010. The competition was organised by the magazine, Professional Photographer. At the ceremony it was great to meet some of the writers and staff of the periodical and also fellow photographers who had won or been commended in the other categories. I have won a few other awards in my time, but was extremely pleased with winning this title from such a respected publication. Also whilst it was a UK based magazine, it has a wide readership and so they received entires from throughout Europe. Though whilst I blushingly accept the award as UK Wedding Photographer of the Year, I appreciate such things are relative, and it very difficult to quantify. Whatever way you look at it, I am secretly very proud to receive what is considered quite an accolade. I have always strived to exceed my clients expectations and be considered one of the best South Wales wedding photographers, so I am extremely thankful to be even in the running for such an international award, let alone winning it.

Below is a picture of my trophy I was presented with for winning the wedding category of the Professional Photographer of the Year Awards 2010 and an image of the magazine from when notification of the winner was published.
