Saturday the 22nd of August in 2016, saw me head across South Wales to the county of Monmouthshire for the wedding of Anna and Ben. I began the day in some holiday cottages that Anna was sharing with her parents, sisters and nephews for the bridal preparations, before catching up with the groom at St Mary’s Church in the hamlet of Tregare, near Raglan. Once the register was signed and the confetti thrown, a classic Austin Healy sports car provided the transport for the bride and groom to make their way to the wedding reception. This was hosted in a nearby field, that not only provided room for a marquee, idyllic views on the Monmouthshire countryside, but also a make shift cricket pitch. As the day progressed it became clear that was to be a running cricket theme to the wedding reception, might have something to do with the bride and groom’s son, Eric who guarded his wicket with great aplomb.
“A big thank you for your work on our wedding day. There are some wonderful ones and they capture the essence of the day really well.”
