On the last day of April this year of 2016 I photographed the wedding of Rebecca and Matthew. I began my photographic coverage with the bride at the Old Post House in St Fagan’s, near Cardiff in South Wales, which would later also host the wedding reception. Rebecca was one of those bride where a smile rarely left her face all day. This good humour was mirrored by the cheerfulness of her groom, who I tracked down to the pub over the road from the church. The marriage ceremony took place at St Mary’s Church in the same village. Once the nuptials were exchanged, the weather could not quite make up its mind if it wanted to rain or not. Taking advantage of this indecision we took a couple of family group photographs in the church grounds before making our way to the drinks reception at the Old Post House. The former village’s Post Office and Police Station house in a Grade II listed building has been converted into family run events venue and restaurant with rooms.
