As is all too common these days Sally and Charlie’s wedding plans had evolved numerous times through the pandemic lockdown restrictions to incorporate a new date and truncated plans. However one part remained the same and that was their marriage ceremony to be held at Llandaff Cathedral. This took place on Friday 9th July 2021 in this majestic place of worship in Cardiff in front a limited number of close family members. The reception was hosted by the bride’s parent at their home in the South Wales village of St Nicholas, where Sally had spent the morning getting ready. Whilst Charlie was outside the cathedral greeting the small number of guests and a few well wishers who had also gathered. In time, Sally arrived in her chauffeured driven white Rolls Royce. Her father escorted her through the huge doorway that dwarfed them at the entrance to this historic building and down the aisle where her groom was waiting. Once the marriage ceremony was completed the newly married couple signed the register in the lady chapel, before parading past the gathered guests as husband and wife to begin their new life. Their first duty was to pose for pictures for the gathered well wishers who had remained outside Llandaff Cathedral and then led the family members to the wedding reception at Sally’s family home where the back garden had been set up to host an afternoon tea, complete with their very own acoustic guitarist.
