Every once in a while I don my hat of a baby photographer here in South Wales. My approach is consistent with my wedding photography, in that I provide very natural, real life photography. Other than placing the child in good light, I prefer not to pose sleeping newborn babies with props and fake backgrounds. Using a more documentary photography approach, the aim is enable the children’s real character to shine through, be it grumbling or sleeping contently. This beautiful little lady, I photographed a couple of weeks ago for her parents at their home in Bridgend, South Wales. The session was just over an hour, during which we experienced a full spectrum of baby behaviour, which in my opinion makes for a more interesting and emotive set of pictures.
