The wedding of Sharon and Mark took place on Saturday 17th September 2011, rather unusually both the bride and groom prepared for the day in adjoining rooms at Peterstone Court Hotel near Brecon in South Wales, though they did managed to stick to tradition and not see each other until they met at the church. The ceremony took place at Hope Methodist Chapel, Pontnewydd near Cwmbran and it was then back to Peterstone for the wedding reception.
The weather was rather changeable today , but we did have a few minutes of sun in between showers for a couple of shots of the bride and groom in the hotel grounds. Though I am primarily a documentary wedding photographer, most couples like a few portraits of just the two of them and this can normally be done in a few minutes and whilst I avoid anything too contrived it does give me the opportunity to control the background and direction of light.
