Elizabeth and David held their Porthmawr Country House wedding on 23rd May 2015 in South Wales. The day started with the bridal preparations at the bride’s mother’s home in Georgetown with the wedding ceremony taking place at St Sannan’s Church in Bedwelty. On the way to the reception venue we made a quick stop on Llangynidr Mountain with its breath taking views of the landscape making the perfect backdrop for a couple of wedding portraits of the bride and groom.
The Porthmawr Country House is situated in the town of Crickhowell, on the banks of the River Usk in the southeastern corner of Powys. Once the wedding breakfast was announced, the guests made their way to the purpose built Celtic style banqueting hall, where they were treated to some ingenius favours, each person had their face superimposed on to a photograph of a famous personality, resulting in some hilarious reactions.
“They are beautiful and have captured the day perfectly!”
Later in the day, as the evening sun bathed this Regency mansion and its gardens in a warm yellow glow, the bride’s two brothers, together with other musically talented family members and friends, formed a makeshirt wedding band. In the shadow of the estate’s Gatehouse, they played for the happy couple’s first dance, followed by some crowd pleasing rock anthems.
In due course the complete gallery of wedding photographs will be available to view via the client area, as linked above.
