This was the first time I have photographed a wedding at Penpont House near Brecon, Powys, a privately owned Grade I listed house, that has been home to the same family since it was first built in about 1666, however on Saturday 31st August 2013 it was to host the wedding of Lisa and Aled.
The day started with the bridal preparations in the village of Llanddew and ceremony was as short distance away at the local church, before we made our way to Penpont for the wedding reception, which featured amongst other delightful details, a massive cut out of the groom’s head that the guests were invited to throw rugby balls through the sawn out mouth!
