Here is a selection of photographs that I took at the Oldwalls wedding of Lacey and Joe on Saturday 7th June 2014. The day started with the bridal preparations at a cottage in Gower, South Wales. The marriage ceremony and reception took place at Oldwalls, a private event venue situated at the centre of the peninsula, which was Britain’s first designated area of natural outstanding beauty.
The weather today was very changeable from blue skies to rain in a matter of moments and unfortunately a heavy shower cut short the outside photographs. Luckily the sun made a dramatic appearance after the speeches, so we grabbed the oppurtunity to take a few early evening images with the bride and groom sunlit amongst the beautiful Welsh countyside that surrounds the venue.
I must also mention the terrific idea of having a personal picture drawn of each guest in lieu of place names on the tables for the formal reception, it certainly got the the wedding breakfast off to a humorous start.
