On Saturday the 19th of March 2016 I had the pleasure of returning to Oldwalls, in Gower, South Wales as I had been commissioned to photograph the wedding of Catherine and Daniel. Oldwalls is situated in the heart of the Gower penisular countryside, which was Britain’s first area of outstanding natural beauty and today provided a rare sunny day. Thanks to the venue’s ever increasing accommodation options, both the bride and groom were able to get ready on site before the ceremony in the purpose built Oakroom. Later in the day the wedding breakfast was served in the marquee, which also served as location for the evening dancing after the speeches. Just before I left for the day, the guests were treated to an amazing firework display.
As a documentary wedding photographer I vow to capture the day in its natural flow, the vast majority of the photographs below has been taken without instruction or intrusion, the few where guidance has been given are the handful of family and wedding party group pictures and a couple of portraits of the bride and groom, these were completed in a few minutes are always taken at the couples request, allowing them enough time to join their friends for the drinks reception.
