After last weeks visit to Derbyshire, this week I was on the road again, this time to Leicestershire for the wedding of Nia and Jan on Saturday 25th August 2012. The whole day was hosted at the majestic Belvoir Castle, the ancestral home of the Duke of Rutland since 1509. The present day Duke and his family still live there but open part of the castle and its gardens to the occasional wedding.
Despite the unsettled weather which saw rain showers in the morning, Nia and Jan were able to host their drinks reception under blue skies in the castle grounds, by the time the storm clouds gathered again it was time for the wedding breakfast served in the state dining room.
