The first wedding I photographed in 2015 saw me in West Wales on Valentines Day for Megan and Shaun’s special day. The bridal preparations took place at Megan’s parents, a vineyard called Llaethiw Estate , which produced its first vintage last year, a few bottles I daresay were earmarked for today’s wedding reception.
“Just want to say a huge thank you for the photos! We absolutely love them!!!! They’re amazing! “
The marriage ceremony was performed at St Silin’s Church, near Aberaeron in Ceredigion, true to form in these close rural communities local residents line the path of the church for a glimpse of the bride as she arrives and to congratulate the couple as they leave. The wedding reception was held at Nanteos Mansion a few miles up the coast near Aberystwyth, to make the journey Megan and Shaun were treated to a helicopter ride, which picked them up at Llanerchaeron Mansion, a nearby National Trust property.
Nanteos is a 18th century, grade one listed country house which took fours years to restore to its current condition before opening its doors as a luxury hotel on the west coast of Wales.
