This was the first time I have photographed a wedding at the newly refurbished Hensol Castle part of The Vale Resort in South Wales. This 400-year former stately home located within generous grounds which includes a 15 acre lake, has just undergone a £10 million revamp with the assistance of the Welsh governments historic environment service, CADW. Jessica and Chrisitian held their marriage ceremony at Hensol on 11th September 2015, followed by drinks and ice-cream being served in the shadow of this Grade 1 listed buildings opulent Gothic turrets. Following a few portrait photographs of the bride and groom to utilise the surrounding landscape, the wedding guest were led to the purpose built courtyard hall for the wedding breakfast, speeches and evening entertainment.
“We just wanted to drop you a mail to say how pleased we are with them! You’ve managed to capture our day perfectly and there are great moments that you’ve shot which would’ve gone by unnoticed.
Your style and the way you work suited our wedding perfectly. “
